Raw, unroasted coffee beans are appreciated for plenty of health benefits and thought to help with weight-loss.
Raw coffee beans contain compounds known as chlorogenic acids. These compounds are believed to have antioxidant activities, help lower blood pressure, speed up metabolism, and help you lose weight as well as burn fat. If you do wish to prepare your own cup of green coffee, it’s very simple:
1. Get some quality green beans.
2. Grind your beans to your liking with a coffee grinder or a blender. Unroasted beans are pretty hard to grind, so you’ll need a powerful grinder to do the job.
3. Use around 10 grams of green coffee powder for a single serving.
4. Heat up water as you normally would for coffee, and simply pour it over in your cup. Keep in mind it should never be boiling, but around 90°C.
5. Let it sit for 10 minutes or so, then strain to get rid of any floating bits. Sweeten with honey, sugar, or whatever you like, or simply enjoy it plain for maximum health benefits and true, natural taste!
